Lilly is back on The Birth Hour to share her second birth story. Unlike her first at a hospital, Lilly chose halfway through her pregnancy to have her second baby at home, with the help of her husband, Ryan, Doula Kaitlyn Wozniak, and Midwives Katie and Caren from Chesapeake Midwifery. Lilly shares how she was able to create a positive pregnancy experience, one in which she was the hero instead of the victim, and how that ultimately led her to choose a home birth delivery. Grounded in inner knowing, trust of the body, and power instead of fear, she shares her empowering experience in labor, where she was allowed to lead the process. Finally, she discusses her experience with postpartum depression/anxiety, the power of community, and how she got through it to the flow state of motherhood that she is in now.
